Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using CompTrack (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. The Service

CompTrack monitors publicly accessible competitor websites and business listing data on your behalf and notifies you of changes. We do not guarantee that all changes will be detected, that monitoring will be uninterrupted, or that any particular data source will remain accessible. The Service is provided as-is.

3. No Guarantees

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, accuracy of monitoring results, completeness of detected changes, or fitness for any particular purpose. You use the Service at your own risk.

In no event shall CompTrack be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding three months.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account.
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others.
• Only monitor websites and business listings for legitimate competitive intelligence purposes.
• Not use the Service to harass, defame, or harm individuals or businesses.
• Not attempt to overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the Service's systems.
• Comply with all applicable laws in your use of the Service.

5. Subscription and Billing

CompTrack offers a free tier and a Pro plan at $19.00 per month, billed monthly. Billing is processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain Pro access through that date. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months, except where required by law.

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If the charge cannot be collected, your account will be downgraded to the free tier.

6. Cancellation by You

You may cancel your account at any time from the Settings page or by contacting support@comptrack.app. Upon cancellation, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

7. Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, if we determine that you:

• Have violated these Terms.
• Are using the Service for unlawful purposes or in a manner that harms others.
• Are abusing the Service infrastructure (e.g., automated scraping of our own systems, attempting unauthorized access).
• Have engaged in fraud or chargebacks in bad faith.

If we terminate your account for abuse, you will not be entitled to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

8. Intellectual Property

CompTrack and its underlying technology, design, and content are owned by CompTrack and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

9. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Oklahoma.
